My MidTerm Exam Results

So last night I had to take my midterm test in my speech class, and guess what?  After all my stressing and studying I got an 88 which he will curve up to an A, possibly and A+!!

 *dances and cheers*

I was very excited, and just had to let everyone know.  Now I have to use my spring break to work on my research paper about Salvador Dali and my section of our group speech.

Wish me luck!!

And part two of our CoP mission is tonight, so HURRAH and SQUEEE!!

LOL

Mnemonic for Eleven Planets

So I hear on the news this morning that there is a new Mnemonic for the eleven planets.  WTF??  Eleven?  I thought there were only eight since Pluto was declassified as a planet?  Turns out there are now eleven planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Eris.

I always thought Ceres and Eris were stars, but apparantly they are ‘dwarf planets’ along with our friend Pluto and they now go in the new Mnemonic that was created by a ten year old girl named Maryn Smith from Montana.  The new phrase to know is…

*drumroll*

My Very Exciting Magic Carpet Just Sailed Under Nine Palace Elephants.

Cute, and it makes sence too!  I like it, so now I guess I will start getting used to the idea of having eleven planets instead of the nine that I was raised with.  That is until they change their mind and kick the three newcomers out of the lineup…

C’est la vie!

Proud of him I am!!

Lee is coming home today!!  I am so excited!  He has been on his first business trip, and I am sure he misses MySpace dearly.  I have not gotten to talk to him much besides the occasional text, but I am proud that he took his first trip like this.

*gives LeeLee a standing ovation*

My Weekend and Vacation Day

Well I wanted to stop by this page and take the time to fill everyone in on my weekend and the vacation day that I took off from work yesterday.  I will probably mirror this post on MySpace, too just for the proverbial craps and giggles.

~Friday~
After work Friday I went home and had an appointment with our new life insurance guy (long story with the old one, but we ended up changing companies because our policies were crap) and then logged on to FFXI.  I grouped up with the gang and we went for Chains of Promathia Mission 4-2, The Savage.  The main battle here was a dragon named Ouryu and his fate was the same as Diabolos back in 3-5: PWN3D!!  After the FFXI fight I did the cutscenes to prepare myself for part one of Mission 4-3 and logged of to do other things, like look over my schoolwork.

~Saturday~
Saturday I got up whenever I woke up, and that ended up being at about noon-ish.  It was the first Saturday in a long time I had not set my alarm to get me up, and I really needed the rest.  I was exhausted and had been late for work twice in the past two weeks.  After getting up I felt much better and logged in to FFXI for a little while.  I ended up checking my items for sale at the Auction House and piddling around for a while before logging off to get ready for my date with Lee.  We went out and had ourselves a good time, which was much needed for me after the workweek I had just endured.

I also found out today that Lee is going to go on his first business trip, leaving at 5:30am Monday morning to head to North Carolina.  He is expecting to be gone three days, but more details would be available when he found them out from his boss.

~Sunday~
I got up early because of the phone ringing almost constantly, it was one of Dad’s friends calling to go fishing.  Since I couldn’t sleep I went ahead and got up at 8am.  I was going to get up early anyway because my static on FFXI had scheduled our part one of Mission 4-3 run for 9a EST so I figured I would get ready for that.  We ended up not being able to go because two of our members were having problems getting their baby girl settled in, so we rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 5p EST.  That way it will be 10p for them (they live in the UK) and she should be asleep.  🙂  I ended up piddling around for a while leveling my White Mage and got ready for our weekly ENM runs at 2p.  After they were over I logged off and watched movies with Mom, Dad, and Lee.

We also had a minor crisis Sunday, we had a pipe going to the sink spring a leak in the bathroom.  It was a mess and we finally got it taken care of.  We grilled out and everyone ate until we were almost miserable and had many a good laugh!

~Monday~
I had taken a vacation day off from work so that I could take my car to Evans Honda for service because I had to get the timing belt, water pump, and oil pan gasket changed.  I also had a valve adjustment done.  None of this is out of the ordinary for a car with 125k miles on it, in fact it should have been done at 100k but I didn’t realize it needed it so bad.  I ended up having lunch with Mom and Dad and then playing some FFXI for most of the day.  I ended up leveling some of my jobs that I had not touched yet since I couldn’t get a party invite as White Mage or Black Mage, my two main subjobs for my Red Mage.  I took Warrior to level 5, Monk to level 5, and Dancer to Level 6.  I think I will take the three of them up together since they can compliment each other in different ways.  I am not used to the damage dealing class of characters, so it’s amazing to be able to hit a monster and kill it rather quickly.

I also got some pretty good studying done for my midterm exam Thursday.  Cross your fingers for me on that one!!

Ohh, and I got a 96 on my Art Appreciation exam last week!!!  I was excited, it was one of the highest grades in the class.  *does a happy dance*

I talked to Lee a bit, too.  Mainly thru text messages.  He is hoping to head home tomorrow evening, which is great news.  I can’t wait to talk to him on the phone and find out more of how his trip went.

Now I guess it’s time to go, time to get to work.  🙂

PWN3D

*posted yesterday on MySpace, reposted here just because.*

Met up with the linkshell on FFXI and we went in to do our Diabolos fight.  Round one didn’t go too well, but we almost killed him.  We ended up wiping and getting taken from the battle field, but we reraised and got back in there.  Round two belonged to the FantasyFriends!!!   RAWR!!

W00t!!

I got two hits today on this page!!  Yahoo for me!!  That is my first two hits ever on this site, and I am super excited!  I doubt that they will become regular readers since they seem to have been redirected here from a google search, but hey two hits are better then the long standing zero that I did have!!

 *does a happy dance*

Okay, so this is attempt three at posting a blog today on MySpace.  I am typing this up in my WordPress blog so that it won’t get eaten and I have the spell checker to play with when I am done so f**k you MySpace!!!  I will post it on WordPress and then copy and paste over to MySpace, but the WordPress account is not ready for the eyes of my adoring fans just yet so no link today.  Gimme some time to work on it and pretty it up before I ship you guys off to there.

I had my first exam of this semester last night, it was in my art appreciation class.  I feel really good about it, but I know that there is one question that I more than likely missed.  Other than that, I fully expect an A on that exam, and that makes me happy!  I do not know if our teacher will post our grades up on the class website or if I will have to wait until next Monday night to find out what I made, but I will be sure to let you guys know as soon as I find out.

Our next art appreciation exam is scheduled for March 24th, and I started on the study guide last night.  I figured since it was going to be over so much more content I could use the head start.  I also have to write a paper for the class over an artist, and I picked Salvador Dali from the list of choices.  If you are not familair with him, google ‘The Persistence of Time’ to see his most famous work (it is the painting, not the Anthrax album).

My speech class is going well, too.  Our current project is our group speech, and my group is doing ours over health-care in the US.  My part will be about pharmaceutical research and development and how drug prices drive the cost of medical services.  I need to do my background research tomorrow night because the class is Thursday night and we are hoping to be able to sort of put together our outlines.  It will be speech 2 of 4, so that is always a good thing!

Wish me luck making the time that I will need to get everything done, because I sure will need it.

When I get home today I need to log on the FFXI and make a run to a rendezvous point for my linkshell, we are going to meet up at 5pm my time tomorrow to do a big fight that I will need to progress my storyline.  Two other characters (Snokyd and Hikitsune) need the fight, so half of the members there will be fresh noobs, and that is just fine.  We have enough members with the necessary experience to totally rawk the fight.  😀

Bowling league is tonight too, so cross your fingers that we continue to kick total arse!  We are in first place again this portion of the season, so woot!!  If we can hold on to it this week and next we will win two of the four quarters, with one more left to go.

I guess that is about all I have to blog about, time for me to get off the ‘net and get busy.  After all, they don’t pay me to blog all day.  But man that would be a nice job to have…  😉

I am thinking…

…that I will spend some time learning this site and finding out all of the cool things that it can do.  I want to move my blog off MySpace, but I don’t know if my friends will come here to read it.  I can’t blame them if they don’t, I can be lazy myself sometime.  I am just kinda bored with MySpace since nothing really is going on with mine.  I may be lame, or then again I may just be boring, but I would think with over 70 people on my friend list someone would attempt to communicate with me in some way or another, especially after I post and post and post comments that pretty much say SEND ME A MESSAGE DAMNIT!!

Plus this site doesn’t give as many ‘technical errors’ and I love the way it saves while you type, that way if something happens you don’t lose your entire blog.  I have lost pages upon pages of pretty decent write ups to the MySpace demon that decides to eat my words.

Ohh well, just another day in my world.  😀
