Well I wanted to stop by this page and take the time to fill everyone in on my weekend and the vacation day that I took off from work yesterday. I will probably mirror this post on MySpace, too just for the proverbial craps and giggles.
~Friday~
After work Friday I went home and had an appointment with our new life insurance guy (long story with the old one, but we ended up changing companies because our policies were crap) and then logged on to FFXI. I grouped up with the gang and we went for Chains of Promathia Mission 4-2, The Savage. The main battle here was a dragon named Ouryu and his fate was the same as Diabolos back in 3-5: PWN3D!! After the FFXI fight I did the cutscenes to prepare myself for part one of Mission 4-3 and logged of to do other things, like look over my schoolwork.
~Saturday~
Saturday I got up whenever I woke up, and that ended up being at about noon-ish. It was the first Saturday in a long time I had not set my alarm to get me up, and I really needed the rest. I was exhausted and had been late for work twice in the past two weeks. After getting up I felt much better and logged in to FFXI for a little while. I ended up checking my items for sale at the Auction House and piddling around for a while before logging off to get ready for my date with Lee. We went out and had ourselves a good time, which was much needed for me after the workweek I had just endured.
I also found out today that Lee is going to go on his first business trip, leaving at 5:30am Monday morning to head to North Carolina. He is expecting to be gone three days, but more details would be available when he found them out from his boss.
~Sunday~
I got up early because of the phone ringing almost constantly, it was one of Dad’s friends calling to go fishing. Since I couldn’t sleep I went ahead and got up at 8am. I was going to get up early anyway because my static on FFXI had scheduled our part one of Mission 4-3 run for 9a EST so I figured I would get ready for that. We ended up not being able to go because two of our members were having problems getting their baby girl settled in, so we rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 5p EST. That way it will be 10p for them (they live in the UK) and she should be asleep. 🙂 I ended up piddling around for a while leveling my White Mage and got ready for our weekly ENM runs at 2p. After they were over I logged off and watched movies with Mom, Dad, and Lee.
We also had a minor crisis Sunday, we had a pipe going to the sink spring a leak in the bathroom. It was a mess and we finally got it taken care of. We grilled out and everyone ate until we were almost miserable and had many a good laugh!
~Monday~
I had taken a vacation day off from work so that I could take my car to Evans Honda for service because I had to get the timing belt, water pump, and oil pan gasket changed. I also had a valve adjustment done. None of this is out of the ordinary for a car with 125k miles on it, in fact it should have been done at 100k but I didn’t realize it needed it so bad. I ended up having lunch with Mom and Dad and then playing some FFXI for most of the day. I ended up leveling some of my jobs that I had not touched yet since I couldn’t get a party invite as White Mage or Black Mage, my two main subjobs for my Red Mage. I took Warrior to level 5, Monk to level 5, and Dancer to Level 6. I think I will take the three of them up together since they can compliment each other in different ways. I am not used to the damage dealing class of characters, so it’s amazing to be able to hit a monster and kill it rather quickly.
I also got some pretty good studying done for my midterm exam Thursday. Cross your fingers for me on that one!!
Ohh, and I got a 96 on my Art Appreciation exam last week!!! I was excited, it was one of the highest grades in the class. *does a happy dance*
I talked to Lee a bit, too. Mainly thru text messages. He is hoping to head home tomorrow evening, which is great news. I can’t wait to talk to him on the phone and find out more of how his trip went.
Now I guess it’s time to go, time to get to work. 🙂
